Tetra-n-butyl titanate (CAS No. 5593-70-4) is a commonly used organotitanium reagent, primarily used as a precursor for the preparation of nano-titanium dioxide and titanium-based ceramic materials; as a catalyst for transesterification and condensation reactions in organic synthesis; as a crosslinking agent and adhesion promoter in coatings and inks; and also as a coupling agent in plastic processing, and for the synthesis of titanate ester additives.
